This weekend seems to mark the beginning of Christmas season with the first of many Santa Claus Parades across Ontario. Alliston Annual Sugar Plum Fair Craft Show & Sale @ Nottawasaga Inn – The show features 108 vendors from across Ontario selling a variety of items including chocolate, jam, fudge, sauces, quilts, candles, pottery, stained glass, wreaths, folk art, woodwork, sock monkeys, body care products, pewter, Christmas decorations and more! All the items are handcrafted by the artisans themselves.
Barrie Grey Cup 100 Train Tour @ Barrie GO Station (Sunday 12-4) – Read and learn about CFL history on the “Then and Now” mural inside the Kubota On Tour special events vehicle which also offers fans a Photo Booth opportunity called “You’re at the Game”. Tour the Grey Cup, Museum and Team cars, Reebok will be there to give fans a chance to win 2013 CFL Season tickets and Telus will have their virtual Punt, Pass, and Kick game.
Bayfield Christmas in Bayfield – Festivities kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday with the traditional Lighting of the Lights event at Clan Gregor Square. As part of the celebration, there will be treats, a choir on hand, and an early visit by Santa Claus care of the fire department. On Saturday Santa will make an appearance at the annual parade, starting at 11 a.m. Another special event on tap is free horse-drawn carriage rides.
